Christophe Gallot, periodista y productor de televisión francés decidió abandonar París para establecerse en Teotitlán del Valle, Oaxaca, México, hace 5 años. Hoy como diseñador de textiles, vive en esta comunidad indígena Zapoteca y trabaja de la mano de Rogelio Castillo con tejedores y maestros de tintes naturales de todo el estado de Oaxaca en la producción de textiles para el hogar Maison Gallot.
En su totalidad, la colección es tejida a mano y teñida con los colores naturales de Oaxaca e incluye: Juegos de cama, mantas de lana y algodón, cojines, tapetes para el baño, spa, mesa y recientemente lanzamos una colección de ropa de cama para bebés.
Actualmente cuenta como clientes Marriott, los hoteles Hábitat en Mexico y en Francia colabora con Liaigre, la boutique del Musée du Quai Branly y La cité de la Tapisserie D´Aubusson
Christophe Gallot, ancien journaliste à France Inter et ex-producteur à la télévision française a décidé de quitter Paris pour s’installer à Teotitlan del Valle, Oaxaca, Mexique il y a 5 ans. Designer textile, il vit dans cette communauté indigène Zapotèque et travaille avec les arti- sans tisserands du village et des diférentes régions de Oaxaca pour sa marque de linge de lit, Maison Gallot.
Ses premiers pas au Mexique ont eu lieu dans la ville de Mexico. Acheter des draps en coton avec un design basique a été l’une de ses premières difficultés dans la mégapole, il était impos- sible de trouver des draps en pur coton à prix abordable et avec un design minimaliste, discret. Un ami Mexicain lui a conseillé d’aller visiter Oaxaca et de trouver les artisans sur place qui al- laient fabriquer des draps à son goût, tissés mains et teints avec des couleurs naturelles. L’idée lui a parue géniale ! Il a pris le bus pour Oaxaca et c’est comme ça que tout a commencé!
Aujourd’hui, Maison Gallot propose ses collections de linge pour la maison tissées main et teintes avec les couleurs naturelles de Oaxaca.
Set de lit, couvertures en laine ou coton, coussins, accessoires textiles pour le bain, le spa, la table et dernièrement une collection de linge de lit pour bébé

En Maison Gallot cada tejido es único y requiere para su desarrollo la ayuda del tiempo, la generosidad de la naturaleza y el ciclo de las estaciones.
Después de conseguir las plantas necesarias para hacer cada color y si la naturaleza lo permite, los hilos son teñidos por los maestros tintoreros Zapotecas para luego tejerlos en telares tradicionales de pedal o cintura que van desde unos centímetros de ancho hasta King size.
El conjunto de procesos respeta las tradiciones ancestrales del pueblo zapoteco y considera los tiempos de pausa ligados a las fiestas tradicionales del pueblo y eventos familiares de los artesanos que fabrican las telas.
Todos los artesanos son justamente remunerados por su trabajo y el valor de las tradiciones.
